About The Artist

I am an abstract artist living and working in Hamburg and Bad Krozingen in Germany. I am working in various media including watercolours, alcohol inks and acrylics.

But I always come back to alcohol ink. I love how the inks flow, it just has something so soothing to it. I try to capture this feeling in my art.

About My Work

Art is my way of expressing intense emotions and capturing different moods with the intensity of colours. The process of painting has something very soothing, which I want others to feel when looking at my work.

Alcohol Ink

I work mostly with alcohol ink on synthetic paper or canvas. I add 99.9% isopropyl alcohol to the ink. As a result, the ink flows on the smooth surface and can be controlled with a heatgun. Nevertheless, the process has something unpredictable to it, which makes each work unique. By adding more layers of ink and isopropyl alcohol, further structures and textures can be incorporated into the work. The selected materials play a major role in my final work of art and in particular the creates an unmistakable lightness and intensity.
